When You Need A Break.. DO THIS!

I know the holidays are over and you’re probably working on getting your schedule back on track with eating and life in general.

Let me remind you as the weekend rolls in that there is absolutely nothing wrong with you, at all. If your sugar intake isn’t where you’d like it to be, I totally get it. The stuff is 8 times more addictive than cocaine so just know it’s not you or your lack of willpower!

Sugar is a legalized, socially accepted drug and when you start to see if that way you start to appreciate the magnitude of the issue and why so many women simply can’t make up their minds one day and be off it for good.

It takes a methodology and so much freakin’ support to learn how to manage the cravings as you take it out so you don’t keep taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back. It takes the body about 2 weeks to process all the sugar out so you can only imagine what 4 days of being “good” does for you and then you add some back.

Here’s what I wanted to share with you today as we roll into the second week of January. If you’re feeling cravings coming on hard and you don’t have the energy to muscle through making every single meal right now I totally get you!!

Please know that one of my favorite cravings kickers, especially when I’ve been working really hard on the biz and my kids are getting on my last nerve (it happens!!) I take myself OUT FOR LUNCH! *Or these days order myself lunch!!

Yup.

Eating clean, yummy food someone else prepared is my absolute anti- yelling, anti- bingeing, anti- sugar craving SECRET WEAPON. I ordered from my favorite organic place in town. It was a true reminder of how I can reset my emotions and my belly quickly without any denial or deprivation or muscling through!

Why as women do we think we need to muscle through anything? I say let’s pleasure our way to a more joyous, leaner, freer self starting with acknowledging when we need a break and giving ourselves permission to take one!

So I say go order your favorite meal, serve it up with sparkling water in your favorite wine glass and set yourself up for a magnificent weekend.
